It was a cute pattern and the colors were bright and happy 11 years ago, but after going through 3 kids and being stored in between... it needed a make-over.

Soooo... being stuck in the house as I am, I looked through my fabric scraps, and tried to find something bright, cute, and that would work again if we have any other children(like a boy)! Wishful thinking in the future! Anyway I think it turned out pretty cute, considering I used only what I had here at home.

I used old jeans of my dear Hunter Dan(I hope they were old anyway), to make the stars and the buckle straps. The old straps had been washed many times and were NOT coming clean anymore.

I embellished with a little rickrack and some bright polka-dot orange ribbon. It was a fun project, and looks so much better. It all comes off too so it can be washed.
I wish my camera could show the fun, bright colors...
Happy Monday Everyone!!!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! I always think about doing stuff like this, but I'm so bad about actually getting it done. Go you! You have a super human ability to follow through with your ideas! You can claim that as a REAL superpower, too. If anyone asks how you can be sure, just tell them The Masked Mommy told you so :-)
