Extreme Makeover-Me Edition

It's time once again for EM-ME!!! Head on over to Amber's to join in with this amazing group of bloggers, and boost your motivation to get healthy!!! Lots of wonderful support, and great friendships to be made. Thanks ladies for helping me out in my quest to be fit!
This week's question:
Show us your inspiration picture. Of yourself skinny, of yourself fat, of a celebrity that inspires you to keep going.
So... this is my "Think Thin" wall. It's inside of my craft room cupboard, and the pictures I chose are some random moments that I remember feeling really good about myself. I am tall, with hips!!! Just how it is, also at the time of these pics I had no boobs! Which looking back, I would rather be thin with no boobs, than fat with gazoombas(my mom's word).

Interesting picture I know, but I was a happy 135, I was active with two little kids, and dance(Irish-step). I had recently gotten engaged to Hunter Dan, and life was good. I look to this picture often because of my attitude, not just my weight.

As of this week... I have lost another five pounds...happy?..of course, but losing weight from throwing-up, not so good. Which brings me to.......

O.K. The truth is... I found out a couple of weeks ago that we are expecting our fifth child!!!! Yes we are excited, yes this was a bit of a surprise, and yes for the last week I have been suffering from EXTREME morning sickness(that lasts all day and night). Which is why I have not been on the computer much, haven't been around visiting my favorite bloggers, but have lost five pounds. I was really sick with Ashie...for the entire nine months...in fact when I had her, I weighed less than when I found out, which was kind of cool, except for the fact that then after she was born my appetite came back, and I gained all the weight I should have gained during the pregnancy. NOT GOOD!! I am sincerely praying for this sickness to only last a few more weeks, because it is honestly debilitating. For those of you who understand, you know what I am talking about. For those of you who are lucky, and haven't experienced this, it is like having the stomach flu ALL THE TIME!!! Nothing stays down, not even water. This is really gross I know...sorry.

What to do??? I still want to participate in EM-ME, just a little differently. I really want to eat healthy, and keep up with everyone. I will just be posting my weight gain (or loss) depending on how I'm feeling. Hope ya don't mind!!!

FIVE KIDS!!! Holy smokes!!!!! By the way the due date....December 25th....no one plans that!!!:-)

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!!!

5?!!? Five!? OHMAGOSH! (You know how this happened, right...?)

I never had the morning sickness, but the pregnancy gods are usually fair and I had pregnant butt, pregnant arms, pregnant NOSE! Pregnant everything. Your morning sickness will pass quickly I am sure, and you will have a delightful 220 some odd days of pregnancy.

I think eating healthy and doing prenatal exercises is a great way to stay involved with EMME.

:) Congrats!

I am soooo left out of the loop. I just called Amy and demanded a reason why I was never told the EXCITING news :) I just didn't go out there on Mothers Day when they all found out. But we were talking and decided that even though your due date is on December 25, you should have the baby on Amy's birthday the 14th :) Then we all could share birthdays! LOL But CONGRATS. Im so happy for you. And really want to come down and visit! I miss you. And Love you. Talk to you soon!

Holy crap I didnt see that coming!!! Congrats girl! I am so happy for you! With my oldest I was sick every day, all day for the first 4 months, I know how yucky that is. I was lucky with the youngest because never had any morning sickness! So excited for you! My due date with youngest was December 26th! I had her December 23rd. Have to say kinda sucks because her birthday will forever be tied into Christmas! Cant wait to hear updates on your pregnancy!

Yahoo! I just met you and I get to share in your exciting news - Congratulations! I'm sorry about the morning sickness, though. I will pray that you don't experience it throughout the whole pregnancy.

Thanks for coming over to visit my blog and encourage me - I love it!

Oh my goodness!! Congratulations!! I am so excited for you! I think you should definitely still do EM:ME. I know I will when I get pregnant again. I think that will help me to make good food choices and not gain too much weight.

Seriously, SO excited!!

I always get the yucky morning sickness too, but it usually subsides by the 2nd trimester. My poor sister in law had it almost ALL the way through, and she too lost weight. The baby is around 3 months old, and she weighs MUCH less than when she started.

Congratulations Tanielle!! Those are some lucky kids you have to have you as a Mommy!

Ah, I sooooo feel the agony of "all the time" morning sickness for you. Keep something on your stomach as much as you can. And lay on the couch 24/7. Oh yeah, you probably don't have that luxury. It's just what I did.

But, congrats for sure!

Lynn said...

Congrats! SO glad to hear you are going to continue to play along. I believe its not so much about the weight loss as being the healthiest you can! I will be so excited to see a new little one....babies are great!

Just wanted to say congratulations on #5 ... and I'll keep you in my prayers that the morning sickness will end and you enjoy every moment of your pregnancy. Your kiddos are adorable!

CONGRATULATIONS TANIELLE!!! I'm so sorry to hear that you're sick. I was sick the whole time with my first baby so I completely understand. Food never sounded good during any of my pregnancies. I actually couldn't wait to give birth so I would be able to eat something and actually enjoy it.

I think it's great you're still going to participate in EMME. Maybe not losing weight but keeping things in perspective.

I love the inspiration picture of you. You're right, attitude is everything. I went to a work reunion and didn't think that I looked good so I just "owned it" and acted like I did. Made me happier than if I didn't own it.

I hope you feel better soon.

Much love from NJ,
Sue

Congratulations on Baby Number Five! How exciting! I hope that the morning sickness subsides soon, seeing my daughter who is expecting in August is having the same problem, I felt guilty because I never had morning sickesses with my pregnancies. Again, congratulation to you all.
