Displaying Those Treasures...

I saw some cute magnets at a craft show this weekend...they were so simple, but a fun way to display those never ending beautiful artwork papers you get from your kiddos. My fridge is a constant art display and I have to clean it weekly to make room for the next weeks treasures.

I decided to make some of these magnets for myself. Jibbity is especially excited to use the new craft project we painted together to hang her MANY masterpieces I get each week. Super easy, and fun for the kids to help with.

*these are made out of wood. I just used some scrap wood I had around. It's about 3/4 inch by 1 1/4 inch. They are 6 inches long. I used my big sander to add some texture on the sides. We then painted, I used a white paint pen for the stars, polka dots, hearts, and swirls, and a sharpie to write the words. Then I sanded again to distress all the edges. Hot glued some magnets on the back, and there you go. Easy and fun for those little monsters to help with! You could personalize them or make them a lot fancier. I thought about doing sports theme for Bug, ladybugs for Lexlee, and flowers for Jibbity. Maybe another time. I thought the simple turned out cute too.*

SHE'S FEELING BETTER...

...apparently!!! The kids had just left for school and I was getting ready to start the usual morning stuff, ya know...making beds, cleaning up, laundry,... when I wondered "where is my baby?" I walked in the kitchen to find this! She just wanted some Dyno-bites I guess, and some napkins to tear up. So she climbed herself onto the table and was taking care of herself!!

She is a busy 13 month old...that is for sure!

Ashie, I am so glad you are starting to feel better, and I will be glad to take you out of the house again!! Stop growing up so fast, I think I need a cage! I love you to the moon!

To pass it on, I have to name 10 things about myself...

1. I make lists like crazy, and if someone writes on it, I start another list, it has to be the same color of ink too. I currently have 4 in my kitchen, and who knows how many in my craftroom.

2. I hate following patterns or instructions, it drives me crazy, my business partner Xazmin is very patient with me!

3. I grew up in a tiny town, and my graduating class had less then 70 in it.

4. I have a texture issue with foods...cottage cheese, coconut, cream-style corn, oatmeal...YUCK!!!(and many others)

5. I LOVE tomatos, but don't like ketchup very much and hate tomato soup.

6. I met my husband on a blind date, only a couple of months after a very hard divorce.

7. I love vacuuming and have broken quite a few since my Hubby and I got married 6 years ago. I guess I'm hard on them.

8. I hate dusting, luckily my girls love it!!

9. I totaled my Mom's car only a few months after getting my driver's license....that huge tree jumped out in the middle of the road!!!!

10. I type very slowly and this post has taken me forever! But it has still been fun, and I heart blogging!

STILL GOING TO GET FIT AND HEALTHY!!!

I have been dieting for about 9 weeks now! I AM HUNGRY!!! But that is o.k., because I am still going to get fit and healthy. My love is dancing...everything from ballet to Irish Step Dance, and I miss it soooo much! SO my biggest goal for the year is to be able to sign up for a local Irish dance group soon. Luckily my good friend X(I know no one has any idea who that is) and I have been trying to get fit together. Or at least trying to avoid the evils of DR. Pepper and gas station nachos. We are going to be HOT!!!(again)we hope!!

Isn't it funny how I fix something really yummy for dinner (that I would just love to have) and my kids are wanting to try my ever-so-delicious LEAN CUISINE. Crazy kids! And I catch Jibbity taking sips of my SLIM FAST! I treasure every last drop of that delicious goodness!

Amazing!!!

What an amazing Sacrament meeting we had today!!! Last night I got a phone call letting my family know that President Packer the President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, was to be our speaker in Sacrament meeting. I was so excited, but bummed because I still can't take Ashie out of the house. My dear friend Xazmin was so sweet and offered to stay with my little one so I could go to this special meeting with my family! What a sweet, strong spirit I felt with this amazing Man of God in our presence. Such wonderful words he spoke about Family and the gospel. I feel so blessed to have been able to attend, and I hope this will be a special memory for the kids, I know it will be for me!
