WHAT I LOVE TO DO....

Fix hair...the second pic was for crazy hair/pajama day at school.

Sew...I'm NOT good at it, but I really enjoy playing!

Crafting, and creating...from cutting wood and transforming it into something fun, to primitive stitcheries. I LOVE it all!!!

WHAT I LOVE TO DO...BUT DON'T DO ENOUGH...

Relax, and take time to enjoy the little things more.

Play the piano, the kids enjoy when I play, but I rarely take the time to.

Dance...my favorite thing ever, especially ballet, and Irish Step. I can't wait to start doing this again, when the baby is here and a bit older.

Scrapbook...I am VERY far behind!!

WHAT I WOULD LOVE TO LEARN HOW TO DO...

Paint.

Juggle...silly but true!

Sing...oh I can sing really well in the car, ask the kiddos.(they ask me to stop, especially when I am using my thumb for the microphone)

Ski...I grew up in Idaho, and live in the state with "The Greatest Snow on Earth", but have never been!

Find a way to make lots of money, and enjoy what I do, while still being home with the kids.(Is that too much to ask?)

Mod Podge Mania AND Friend Makin' Monday!!!

My awesome friend Xazmin is once again hosting Mod Podge Mania...too fun, go check out the projects, and link up if ya have one!!!

My projects are simple, but fun and will be included in the Halloween Giveaway I will be announcing tomorrow(be sure to come back!!!) I LOVE Halloween!!! The first is just a small wooden frame, that I did squares of fabric on, then distressed the edges and stained them for a spooky look!!!BOO!!:-) Oh, there will be something in the frame for the giveaway!

These are just the clear, flat marbles turned into magnets. I used the same fabric. Jibbity thinks I should NOT give them away.:-) She wants them on our fridge.

I can't wait to see every ones' projects!!!!

The adorable Amber is hosting FMM for a while, and I am so glad to be back playing! I have met some amazing bloggers out there through FMM, so...head on over to link up!!!

1. Do you cook every night? Mostly yes, it is definitely NOT fancy, sometimes even just Mac and Cheese, sometimes the kids even eat cereal, but with Hunter Dan working out of town during the week, I don't do big huge meals, usually just something easy.

2. What kind of laundry detergent do you use & why? I switch it up often, right now it is Tide with Downey. It has to smell really good to me.:-)

3. Do you do laundry every day or loads at a time? I do one or two loads every day, it makes things run more smoothly.

4. How often do you eat out per week? Not very often, with four kids it doesn't make it very cost efficient...sometimes though when it is grocery day, Jibbity, Ashie and I will stop on the way home and get something.

5. Where do you usually eat out? I love Taco Bell, and Carl's Jr. I also love Arby's, but Jibbity doesn't so we don't go too often.

6. What is your favorite retail store? I love Target!!! But end up at Wal-mart more often than not.

7. What's your favorite thing to drink? Milk...I go through it like crazy!!! But if you're talking about caffeine goodness...Dr. Pepper all the way(fountain, light ice)

8. Do you take vitamins? What kind? I'm suppose to be taking prenatal, but they don't stay down very well. We all try to take a Vitamin C everyday.

9. What percentage of the household chores to you do? 90%

10. Do your children do chores? {Or will they, did they, etc} ABSOLUTELY!!!! I depend on them, especially since being sick, and they are VERY good about helping out...Jibbity has a hard time sometimes, but the older two are awesome!! I am very lucky that way!

11. Do you go to church? Yes

12. Do you have a housework schedule? Kind of... every night before putting the kids to bed, I always do a quick inspection...floors swept, sinks, and counter tops wiped down, laundry put away, dishes done, and floor vacuumed...if these things are done and the house is tidy....my mornings run a hundred times more smoothly. Then on Saturday, there is always a thorough cleaning of the house.

13. Do you keep a working budget? Yes

14. What do you do at night as a family? Always eat dinner together, but there is always football practice, baths, reading time...and all the crazy other things that go on before bed. On Monday nights we always have Family night, with a song, scripture, lesson, and treat. But every night we always have family prayer before bed.

15. How do you prepare yourself for a new week? I try to relax a bit on Sundays...because the rest of the week there isn't much relaxing!!:-)

16. What do your mornings look like? BUSY!!!! I get up usually between six, and six thirty...I wake the kids at seven, and the rest is pretty rushed, breakfast, hair fixed, kids off to school by eight. I love it though!

17. What time do you get up in the mornings? I already answered that too...6:00 or 6:30

18. What time do you go to bed at night? I don't sleep well with the hubby out of town, so it is usually around midnight or later, but when he's home I'm known to crash much earlier!

19. How do you manage all of the paperwork that floods into your household? We have a recycling bin out the kitchen doors...Kids schoolwork gets hung on the fridge for a week, then the ones that the kids and I decide to keep gets filed in their folders in the file cabinet, for their scrapbooks.

20. How do you keep your household organized? I make lists like crazy, I have a small dry-erase board on my fridge, and I keep counters de-cluttered so stuff isn't lost. I try not to let things get cluttered at all! It keeps me sane.:-)

Friend Makin' Monday...confessions!

Here it is Monday already which means FMM. Head on over to Kasey's link up, and meet some fun, and crazy bloggers.

So today's task is Confessions! Spill your guts...her I go!

1. I just ate two pieces of pizza for breakfast(and didn't let Jibbity know so I wouldn't have to share). Do you think they will stay down?

2. Sometimes if there is a crumb or something on my kitchen floor, I kick it under the stove instead of picking it up or sweeping.

3. I love pulling out slivers, watching surgeries on t.v., and any true life E.R. shows. I always watch when I get a shot or have an IV put in.

4. I "pass gas" when I think no one is listening, and then I laugh a little to myself.

5. I can burp really loud, and when we're camping it's a known rule, that burping out loud is a must. Gross huh? The kids think it's awesome.(this stems from when I was a kid)

6. It's after ten in the morning, and we are all still in our pj's, no beds are made, and I have let my two little munchkins "graze" on crackers and apple juice.(while I had pizza) Mom of the year? Yeah right!!!

*There are sooo many more, but I don't think I am ready to admit those to everyone...hahaha

Friend Makin' Monday

It is time for Friend Makin' Monday, head on over to Kasey's to join in the fun, and link up! I haven't joined in for FMM for sooo long, and feel so out of the loop, but today I am forcing myself to be on the computer a little, and get visiting!

This week's task is to tell 10 things you love about summer!!!

I LOVE summer!!! I actually love all the seasons, but I am ready for the warmth. (Funny though it is chilly in my house right now and I'm sitting in long pants, socks, and a sweatshirt.)

1. I love grillin'! Mostly because Hunter Dan does it, and it makes him feel cool to cook meat out on the grill.(love ya hon) I love that he takes care of it, and things always taste better when I don't have to cook them! YUM...bbq's!!!

2. The kids playing outside...love to hear their laughing and screaming when they are playing in the water, and having fun!

3. 4th of July...my Dad is the most patriotic guy I know, and my love for our country was installed in me by him! I love fireworks, so does Hunter Dan, especially the ones you aren't suppose to shoot off. Not that he does that or anything...

4. Camping for my family reunion. It's coming up....let's pray I feel better, the thought of the outhouses....

5. The smell... from the hot pavement, to the fresh cut grass, to the smell of dirt from working in the flowers.

6. Fresh fruit...one of the only things that have sounded good to me lately, strawberries, cantaloupe, grapes...YUM!

7. Tomatoes, and corn on the cob from the garden. Can't wait for it to grow!!!

8. Love that you can be outside later, play, and just hangout...some of my favorite memories are from summer evenings growing up...EXCEPT for June bugs!(they fit right in there with big foot and the dark, except I HATE them more...oh how they terrified me as a kid, and truth be told they terrify me as an adult....o.k. they don't hurt you, but they stick on to you) I AM CRINGING!!!

9. Summer rain and thunderstorms...they are so amazing, and smell so good.

10. Just spending time with my kids and hubby, summer is just such a wonderful time of year!!

This week we are talking about words to live by or ADVICE...here's the question:

What is the Best Advice someone has ever given you?....this one was a hard one for me. I've been given many pieces of advice from many people through-out my life. They range from marriage to finances to children, and family. The one that stands out the most to me though is a simple thing my brother said to me during a very difficult time in my life, and that was...

"Take the High Road."

This at the time pertained to the divorce I was going through. I went to him many, many times needing advice and venting frustrations, he would patiently listen, let me cry, let me be angry, let me cry some more and simply say,"take the high road". Those words always made me stop, evaluate what I needed to do, help me realize that no matter what I did or said, nothing would bring my marriage back, and I had to move forward with this new life I was forced to have. I could deal with the changes in many ways, but his advice was always the same...and that made me stop and think! Many times in the last seven years since that time, those words have come back...I am faaaaarrrr from perfect, and have not always used this simple advice, but it's always there in my mind. Thanks Darrin, you're a very wise, and caring brother, and I love you!

Friend Makin' Monday!! What makes you mad?

Today's task: 5 things that just really get you fuzzed up (that means makes you mad)





Here are my 5...



1. Parents who don't buckle their babies/kids up in car seats and in seatbelts! Follow the laws people....my kids are sooo precious, I can't risk anything happening to them. I don't think it's because these parents don't love their kids, I am not sure why and I just don't understand!



2. When my house is messy! I like Kasey can't stand my dishes being left in the sink. I can't stand when my bathroom has anything out on the counter. It drives me crazy when the kids eat cookies, and get crumbs all over my kitchen floor or on the counters or through-out the house( when they aren't suppose to eat out of the kitchen)and don't clean it up. I could go on and on, that's where my OCD comes in.



3. When my kiddos or hubby leave dirty clothes around instead of just putting them in the laundry basket.



4. When my hubby leaves the toilet seat up, when I have asked him sooo politely to put it down. EVERYDAY!!!



5. When people think they are too good for others. Women are pretty bad at being petty, and snotty, I just wish we would seriously use the golden rule and wouldn't hurt anyones feelings! I am sensitive...what can I say?!?! I also need to be more careful...I truly hate the thought of someone being mad at me, or thinking that I might have offended someone.



6. Parents who hurt their children...mentally, physically, emotionally. Breaks my heart, and makes me furious! My kids are my world!!!



7. When drivers are rude and don't obey the laws!!! I HATE when people don't pull over for emergency vehicles.



8. It drives me crazy when I don't get everything accomplished that I wanted to on my list! Or when someone else writes on my list!!(obsessive list maker):-)



9. When my wonderful neighbors wake me up in the middle of the night with their partying, and loud music. I would really like to live in the middle of nowhere sometimes. At least I have the dispatch number memorized!



10. When I hear kids(or anyone) swearing and saying inappropriate things around my children. Watch it people, what might be o.k. at your house might not be o.k. at everyone elses!!!!



OOPS, I think I went over my list of 5. Sorry all...Kasey did it so I guess it's o.k. I feel better getting this off my chest!:-) It's great to find out what makes our friends happy, but this is fun to find out what gets our friends "fuzzed up!"

FRIEND MAKIN' MONDAY!!

O.K. so it's time for Friend Makin' Monday over at Kasey's. It's a great way to get to know some of those awesome bloggers out there, and make new friends! So head on over to link up.

Today we are talking about how sharing things build friendships...we are suppose to tell 10 things that we cannot live without and why...

SO...ToDaY wE sHaRe!!!!

Here I go...

1. Scentsy...I cannot burn candles anymore because I was ruining our walls and ceiling with all the black that was being left behind from the flame. I always had at least 2 candles burning. The Hubby got tired of it and said,"no more". I soon found scensty. Now I have the wonderful scents I love all through my house and no more wicks. Of course I may have gone a little overboard with them because I have 5 warmers through-out my house, and usually at least three on at all times.

2. My slippers...so, these are pretty much not me at all!!!!! But Urban Hunter(formerly known as Hunter Dan.."too nerdy", he said...Hunter Dan is an action figure, but for Hunters...he comes with a rifle, bow, tent, 4-wheeler, and more, anyway Urban Hunter said he really didn't like that name so we have moved on to an inside joke that only my darling niece, Urban Hunter, and I know)...back to me. He gave these to me and I love them. I wear them everywhere, well not shopping, or anything, but I wear them all the time. They are ugly I know!

3. Pizza...I love this cheesy goodness, but I have been trying to be good because I am trying to get "hot". But oh how I love those delicious pepperoni, and onion pizzas!!! With tons of crushed red peppers on top! (mouth watering) YUM!
4. Flipflops...totally opposite of my slippers, but loved just the same. I have really bad feet, and these little beauties are HORRIBLE. But I still wear them and pay for it when I wake up in the morning!



5. NKOTB c.d.... I heart Donnie!!! I listen to this c.d. all the time. I heart Donnie!!! It is awesome! I heart Donnie!!! They better come back on tour this summer!! I heart Donnie!!! Did I mention I think Donnie is kind of cute?

6. M.A.C. foundation...I love this stuff. Well actually I love make-up, and I absolutely can't live without it...o.k. I could but the world would be a lot scarier!!!

7. Silver jewelry... I love, love, love jewelry! Silver is my fav. I got my love of jewelry(and make-up actually) from my Mom. She always put on earrings and lipstick to haul garbage to the dump...she always said,"ya never know when you might see Robert Redford". So thanks Mom!!!!

8. My vacuum...well actually not MY vacuum because it isn't a Dyson, but I love that I have a vacuum that I can use daily. I am a freak that way, and have to have a clean floor!(when I break yet another vacuum, I hope I get a Dyson.)

9. Cold water...I drink it all day long...I put two 32 oz. bottles in the fridge, and always keep them filled. It's gotta be cold...so refreshing, especially on these blustery snowy days!

10. Victorias Secret lotion and body spray...I use this numerous times a day! It smells soooo good. I don't have a favorite scent, just quite a few I switch between. Does that make me look like one of their models?

Well there you have it! Some of the things besides the obvious, like...my kiddos, and hubby, that I can't live without. Have a WONDERFUL Monday everyone!
