Extreme Makeover-Me Edition

How Bad did YOU mess up?

This is MY FAVORITE!!!!!! I love these little eggs of YUMMY goodness!!!! I eat them very carefully, I gently bite off the chocolatey outside, then slowly eat the "oh so Heavenly" peanut buttery center! That is why the Easter Bunny knows better than to bring very many of these to our home!!!! I confess though...I did endulge, and I enjoyed them. GUILTY!!!!

O.K. so my hubby nor I have family around us, so no yummy dinners to go to. Infact for our delicious Easter feast we had.... enchiladas, which I could live without so whatever. BUT...I also made my oh so hot and wonderful salsa....which I devour...the salsa itself is healthy...the chips however are not!! Luckily this stuff goes through me quickly so it was like a body cleanse(too much info? sorry!) Anyway, Hunter Dan took the last of it to work to share with the guys there, and I am starting fresh! My salsa, and reese's eggs binge is over! IT WAS REALLY GOOD!!!!:-)

So here's this weeks question....

What are you going to do this week to get yourself back on track??

1. Eat less!!! Back on the calorie counting!

2. drink a TON of water

3. exercise!!!!!!!

4. Healthy snacking...fruits, veggies, pretzels...ya know the drill!

5. Be happy...I'm gettin' healthy..how awesome is that!?!

Next week I will come back with a better report! Holidays can be hard, especially Easter with all that pretty pastel candy...seriously, I love the aisles in the store, decorated for this spring holiday! Back to gettin' fit! YAY!!!! An Award!!!

The adorable Mom...That Girl over at Sunshine and Rainbows gave me the Mom of the Year award. She is so cute and I love her blog! Why she gave me this...I am not sure..I don't

feel like the Mom of the Year, but I do LOVE being a Mom!

The rules of this award are....

Admit one thing you feel awful about involving being a mom.Get it off your shoulders. Once you've written it down, you are No Longer allowed to feel bad. It's over with, it's in the past. Remember, you're a good mom! I feel like I don't have enough time... I always feel at the end of the day that I didn't teach my kiddos enough, or wasn't patient enough, or worried more about how clean the house was, instead of if my kids were happy! I am vowing to be better!

Remind yourself you are a good mom, list seven things you love about your kids, you love doing with your kids, or that your kids love about you.These are the things to remind yourself everyday that you Rock!

1. I love to hear the sound of my kids voices saying, Mom, momma, mommy, and know they are talking to me! How awesome is that!?

2. I love when my son tells me I'm a geek...means the world to me, he's always smilin' when he says that, and I know he likes when I make up weird songs, or do goofy things!

3. I love playing school with Jibbity...she's the teacher, and she's very strict....so funny!

4. I love the sweetness of Lexlee, she is so caring and thoughtful. I look to her as an example!

5. Love, love, love snuggling with my little Ashie...she is dependant on me, I love that feeling!

6. I love when we all do things together... simple things, like running around the living room, and having beanbag fights(thanks again Michelle).

7. I am sooo grateful that I have been blessed with them, they are my world!

Totally Thankful Thursday...and Mom of the Year?!

TOTALLY THANKFUL THURSDAY!!!

Well here I am wide awake at 12:39 A.M. I decided it was a great time to do my TTT. So here goes:

1. I know I've been complaining about the snow a lot, but this afternoon when I went out to get my mail...the snow had melted quite a bit, and the grass, the tulips, and the perrenials...are so gorgeous and green. It made me smile. That crazy snow is making my yard and flowers so pretty, and giving them the moisture they need! THANKS snow...sorry I cussed you on Monday!

2. Amy my adorable, crazy niece who is in her first year of college, and experiencing some awesome roomy issues! She is waiting for me to add her to my TTT list, so this is for you!! Thanks for helping me like you do "Grandma" on the computer! Love YA!

3. Valtrex...it's a herpes medicine that has thankfully slowed the beast of a coldsore that I have on my face from getting any worse. I'd post a picture of that, but you'd throw-up!!! I get them when I am extremely stressed, the first one when I was 16. This time it decided to go ahead and grab a staph infection too. It's the size of a quarter right on my cheek. Gross!!!

4. NKOTB...(New Kids On the Block) your new album's songs are stuck in my head. And Jibbity sings them all the time too! Do you think I listen a little too much?

5. Middle of the night blogging...I love this peaceful time to enjoy everyones posts. I love all you new friends I have made! Thanks for your comments!

Prayers and a bit Fabulous!!!

So...my little Jibbity is quite the character. She is always making us laugh our heads off, she's fun and happy, and a little bit naughty sometimes. The other morning before the older kids left for school, we had our morning prayer, Jibbity was the one to say it, and in her sweet prayer, she asked that Heavenly Father "help us to be good and listen to our moms and dads." This worked great for me throughout the day because...whenever she would start to act up, I'd ask her to remember what she asked Heavenly Father to help us with. She'd say "Oh yeah...to help us be good."(said in a sad little voice). I must have reminded her a million times.

The next morning she asked if she could say the prayer once again. Before the kids left for school she said a sweet little prayer..."to bless the kids at school, bless Daddy, and help us to have fun." When she was finished she looked over at me and said with a big smile..."did ya notice what I left out today?"

Someone thinks my Blog is Fabulous!!! Thanks to shortmama... she honored me with this award, and I am sooo excited and grateful to her. She's adorable!!

TOTALLY THANKFUL THURSDAY...

I have sooo many things to be thankful for, I love this chance to be able to write some of them down...

1. Painting my little girls fingernails... we spent an hour last night "doing nails", it was so much fun!

2. My new website... I am so excited about this new adventure, and having such an awesome business partner to share it with!

3. Thrift store picture frames... I think I have a great idea to use these and will post about them later!

4. Snow... there is snow again outside... I am trying to be thankful for this!!!

5. My goofy Bug... he is so funny and has the best dimples ever, he makes me laugh!

My kiddos 1st day of school last August. They have their good friend in the middle there that they walk with. Yes I am the nerd Mom who makes her kids go in the front yard on the first day of school and hold "the sign". I always have... always will(they can thank their Grandma for that, just passing down the nerd-ness). At least I don't take "the sign" photo at the school anymore!!! :D

Being Thankful and "Me an Award?"

TOTALLY THANKFUL THURSDAY

Sometimes I find that I get caught up in the things I want, the things that aren't going my way, and the things I wish I could do... I often need a little kick in the buns to remember the many blessings I do have, and so I am starting "TOTALLY THANKFUL THURSDAY" this will be the top 5 things that I am thankful for, from the huge to the tiny...and everywhere in between. The rule for myself is it has to be what I think of when I turn on the computer, I can't be thinking of it before hand... only spur of the moment. Join along if you'd like.

1. I am not thankful for the pinkeye my little Ashie has, but I am thankful that I was able to get an appointment with the doctor at 9:10 this morning and get her started on a prescription.

2. I am thankful for the few little tulip bulbs I see peeking up through the dirt in my flower bed.

3. I am thankful for the heater I can turn up while my Husband is at work...just to take the chill from my toes.

4. I am thankful for cute earrings(silly I know, but it came to my head). They can cheer you up, especially big wild ones that you might feel a little self-concious wearing because you're not 16 anymore.

5. Toilet paper...I just had to leave my computer because my two older daughters just spilled an entire bottle of finger nail polish remover on the bathroom counter... luckily they mopped most of it up with toilet paper before it hit the tile and the rugs.
